Hi lovelies!

It's been well over a month since I last graced you with my presence here.

Blogger: FAIL!

excuse #1: I'm a new mommy to this lovely pup who keeps me on my toes with his silly antics.

Joe's dad came in town for 10 days (excuse #2, and that alone deserves its own post!) and introduced him to the laser pointer... Yeah, thanks for that!

Lil' Homie will chase that damn thing for hours. (And here I thought only cats chased those things.) If you stop playing with him, he just stares at the floor and waits. It's a little disconcerting...

PS the photo in the bottom left corner above is (L to R) Sophie, Homie, Tanner and Bondi. Sophie and Tanner are my mom's pups. We decided we needed a picture of all the dogs after a couple "pomtinis" and I believe this was Take 14.

excuse #3: I have this whole JOB thing that's quite an inconvenience... plus I've been traveling for work. See!

I'm obsessed with my dog Bondi. He comes to work with me, and he sit's like a little man in the front seat of my car just about every where I go, he is my perfect little spoon in the evenings, and when it comes to social events, if I can take him, he's coming!! And you never know unless you ask...

Speaking of, did you know you can bring your dog into any Nordstom or Macy's??? It's kinda inconvenient if you're trying lots of stuff on.. especially because Bondi has this bad habit of sticking his nose into other people's changing room stalls.. I imagine that could be somewhat alarming to the unsuspecting nakey person! But for the most part, we just make lots of friends, and sometimes convert dog-scared people to Bondi fans.. that's my favorite!!

Anywayyy... In case you had any doubts that I'm a crazy dog lady "dog person" let me just say... it's true. And I can prove it. Here is a sampling of January from my camera:

OK. Here is a review of my last three weeks (yes - I know this is ridiculous) that I haven't yet blogged about.. but (mostly) in pictures. Minus the crazy airplane lady story... which I WILL DO SOON. Really, I will.

Anyway, without further ado.... in chronological order, dating back to before Thanksgiving!!!

Weekly Wednesday Trivia... we have yet to win, but damn... we have a good time!

Thanksgiving at my folks house. Joe and my orphaned friend Zach came, and my mom cooked for 21 people!!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend... it's Off to Idaho!!! Joe's folks live in Couer d'Alene, Idaho so we drive out there often for some pretty wonderful weekends.

My Birthday Party at the Tulalip Casino!!! ...or as Joe calls it, "Vegas's home-schooled half-sister that's living with creepy uncle in the woods of North Seattle." We rented out two totally posh (shocking- I know!) rooms at the Tulalip Resort, stocked them with adult beverages, invited some close friends, and had a grand ol' time!!!! BTW they have an amazing pool that we definitely took advantage of... and although there are no pics to prove it (no cameras at the tables- duh!) we definitely gambled our little booties off!!! I won't say how much I did or did not win...

TGIF ramblings

Joe's off to Boise this weekend on a "boys trip" to go see the Idaho Vandals take on the Boise State Broncos... umm, go Vandals? :-) Unfortunately for Joe, his bud who scored the tickets insisted on driving to Boise. That's, like.. a 9 hour drive from Seattle! Anyway, he texted me after a couple hours to tell me they were in Yakima. Thanks for the update! hehe

Supportive girlfriend (that's me) response - Only to yakima?? Shit u got like 8hrs left haha. Are you being a good DJ? Sorry I forgot to give u my 'whatcha say' CD to play on repeat..

I just thought that was funny. Maybe I'm easily amused!!

Background - I've been subjecting Joe to Jason Derulo's "Whatcha Say" on repeat whenever we're in the car. (I know this is not healthy. I must get over this obsession and plan to do so by listening to it non-stop until I no longer like the song). Joe tried to change the song last night, I think the third time around, so I quickly interjected with a conversation about the 'meaning' of the song ... for reals, though, it's about a girl trying to decide whether to stay with her guy who has cheated on her. Good distraction technique, I thought.

Anyway, so I'm sitting in my apartment with Bondi right now, debating going out or going to have a "slumber party" at my parent's house... my mom likes "slumber parties" :-) I just uploaded a butt load of photos on Facebook dating back to the Cold War August, and found a few recent ones I thought I'd share.

Here's me with my sister McKenzie before the Seahawks game a month or so back... if I remember correctly, it was the game Arizona stomped all over us... Final score 3-27. Funny story about that morning, but it's not mine to share... Kenz? :-)

Speaking of the SeaChickensHawks, apparently if we win this Sunday against the Cardinals (not likely - see above), we will be only one game back from the division title in the NFC West.. with a losing record! Apparently our division blows nutz.

Here's a pic from last weekend when I first committed the great cardinal sin of combining navy blue and black. I deliberated over this for quite some time, but really it was just too damn cold out not to wear leggings, so - against my better judgment - I walked out of the apartment wearing this:

 

I figured it was okay because the shoes totally rock : - ) They did not, however, rock at 1:00 AM when I was walking home. After a night out with the girls, I decided it was time.to.find.Joe. Made this decision rather abruptly and did not wait for a cab.. instead walked the twelve miles blocks from south of downtown to Belltown. It was time to go home and I did NOT want to wear my damn heels anymore. Joe insisted that I leave them on. Argument ensued... apparently long enough (2 more blocks to the apartment!) for us to make it home. So I concede, Joe won.

And.... Last night Joe & I went to meet a our friends Zach and Ashley at Vons in Seattle. They have an awesome Wheel-of-Fortune style wheel that you get to spin every half hour to determine the Happy Hour special. When we showed up it was $5 Jameson shots (pass!), but Ashley got lucky and landed on $2 Sessions (yes please!). So I'm no fashionista... but I've been a bit weary of this new plaid trend.. finally caved and bought this shirt on sale. Thoughts?

Anywayy as it turns out I AM going out tonight. Like right meow. So ta-ta.. and TGIF!!!
